I do not promote my artwork, nor do I use social media. I worked on a line of greeting cards with images specific to Vancouver, Washington. We have a fabulous stationery store, Eryngium, devoted to snail mail. The owner expressed interest in cards about Vancouver for the many tourists who come through her shop. I created a few sketches, but spent the bulk of my time taking an online course on creating watercoloresque paintings in Procreate. I also developed an idea for making a six-sided children's puzzle on wooden cube blocks. I researched how to prepare the blocks and seal them so they could stand up to rough use and not harm a child who puts them in their mouth. I also worked up a couple sketches of images I might want to paint on them. This required two trips to Oman and Son and eventually to shelving this project until I do more research. I really just wanted to paint them, but I'd also like them to hold up to play.
