The idea was to work on 4-6 pieces that only used brushwork and were based on the surrounding area of Sou Wester. A lot of my work involves hard lines a pen work and this was an opportunity to “loosen up” and see where it takes me and my work. In the end I ended up with eight (8) pieces that are 11” X 14” each. I used ink and brush with some watercolor pencil. I wanted to make these pieces represent the areas surrounding Sou Wester, with a lot of history, have feelings of hope but also loneliness and isolation. There is a beauty in it all. Token: A set of four images in one 4x7 frame. Three images are in a sleeve inside the frame. Only one can be displayed at a time. Each one is titled. I presented it to the front desk upon departure.
