Karla Hambelton
I came into the residency with the intention to improve on technical skills in my work, specifically perspective, value, and light/shadow. I also continued to focus on honing my impressionistic style through brush work and mark making. While working on these skills, I wanted to explore the landform and environment of the peninsula focusing on climate, seasonality, mood, and ambiance.
