This was our first artist residency ever, and our first of what we hope will be more at Sou'Wester! Our intention was to play with editing footage and to further understand/develop/write our film, Buttercups.

We revisited a ton of footage we shot last year. Emma brought their big monitor and set it up in the bus. We started sorting footage into folders in between meals cooked in the bus-kitchen and windy beach-walks. We brainstormed and storyboarded on a big whiteboard while rain pitter-pattered.
