- Describe your experience at the residency.
- My experience was lovely, heart-warming, inspirational and soul cleansing. I came to Sou'wester on a mission to finish a screenplay for a short narrative film I plan to film this summer. I was able to truly focus on my writing while sitting in a quaint little trailer under a bundle of trees. I felt at home instantly, the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful my entire stay and I felt extremely lucky to be able to create art in such wonderful circumstances. I finished the first draft of my screenplay during my time and owe Sou'wester a lot to my inspiration.
- Tell us about the work you made — title and description.
- BUBBLEGUM is a 12-page screenplay depicting the story of two siblings from a small, menial town who have to choose between personal gain and honest sacrifice when they stumble upon a great reward. It will eventually become a short film in the drama/fantasy genre.
