Describe your experience at the residency.: I brought my Brother sewing machine that I have had since I was 16 years old and a heap of fabric and fabric scraps. I set up my sewing machine on the desk in front of a window facing towards the coast, and I spent the week creating an improv quilt that I turned into a pillow.
